11/28/2017 - 13:06 UTC

Welcome to the mining PIRL guide. By following this guide, you will be up and running in less than 15 minutes.

Pirl is a PoW cryptocurrency based on the Dagger algorithm same as Ethereum. Because ethash is the driving algo on this new coin, it can be mined either by itself or dual mined with other cryptocurrencies such DCR, LBRY, SIA.

We will be using Claymore Dual Miner (AMD + NVIDIA) on a Windows 10 (64x) based operating system. If you made it to this guide, chances are you already have set up and configured, Claymore Dual Miner for mining Ethereum, so the changes to your existing setup is one single line in the initialization file (usually named Start.bat).

Part1: Create a Pirl wallet

    You can either :
    a) make an online wallet on the official PIRL website by going here (
    b) Download the official wallet for your operating system here and clicking on the Download Wallet button.
Whatever you decide, the usual security advice stands. Make sure you remember your password, backup the keystore folder, etc., etc.

Part 2: Downloading and configuring Claymore Dual Miner

The latest Claymore Dual Miner can be found on the official bitcointalk thread on the links section

Step 1) The Google link is usually unable to provide the files due to too many downloads, but the MEGA link works every time so go ahead and download the miner.

Make sure you replace YOURADDRESSHERE with the actual address you generated from your wallet in STEP 1 of the guide.
Save the file and proceed

Part 3: Start mining Pirl

Double-click on the Batch file you just edited, "start.bat" and the miner should pop up and start mining PIRL after DAG creation.

At the time of writing this guide the difficulty of mining Pirl is very low and the epoch about #13 or so, so your typical RX480 4GB will be crunching at 30MHS (with the appropriate BIOS improvements). So, with a rig of 100MHS in Ethash, you will be making 18.708666 Pirl/Day or $7.89, at the current price of 0.48$.

Happy Mining!
