Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has just posted a caustic message on twitter about the financial status of Wikileaks, addressed to the US government, notable senators and significant players of the fiat money industry such as Visa and Paypal.
His exact words where:
My deepest thanks to the US government, Senator McCain and Senator Lieberman for pushing Visa, MasterCard, Payal, AmEx, Moneybookers, et al., into erecting an illegal banking blockade against @WikiLeaks starting in 2010. It caused us to invest in Bitcoin -- with > 50000% return.
Julian Assange has proclaimed his support for the innovative technology of Bitcoin, along time ago, suggesting that Bitcoin will have a part to play in the upcoming (and long overdue) revamp of the finance sector.
