Bitcoin Cash Is The Third Cryptocurrency Listed On Thomson Reuters Eikon Platform

Thousands of professionals working in stock exchanges, hedge funds, and other financial services have now access to Bitcoin Cash (BCH) real-time data directly via the Thomson Reuters Eikon platform.

The Eikon platform is the rival of the Bloomberg Terminal service.  Launched in 2010, with a cost from $300 to $1,800 per month, the flagship financial information platform of Thomson Reuters is connected to more than 400 exchanges and OTC-traded markets, and over 70 direct exchange feeds.

Thomson Reuters first added Bitcoin (BTC) to its suite of tracked assets, based on a feed from Bitstamp exchange, back in mid-2014. Since then it had added only Ethereum (ETH) and now Bitcoin Cash becomes the third cryptocurrency listed on the platform.

This move by the Toronto-based corporation, is thought to be a response to Bloomberg which recently expanded cryptocurrency coverage on the Terminal adding Ethereum, Ripple (XRP) and Litecoin (LTC).

The Eikon platform offers connectivity to deep liquidity pools, with over 80 providers and more than 1,300 institutional clients, plus FX market pricing from over 2,000 contributing sources in 175 fiat currencies.
