What Is A Block?

A block includes a group of transactions, branded with a fingerprint of the previous block, and a timestamp.

To confirm the included group of transactions, the block header is hashed and sent out to miners to do the work required for confirming the block.

Valid blocks are then added to the blockchain by network consensus.
